Roblox Tools by Shane (the “Extension”) is an independent Roblox utility extension. This policy explains the user data the Extension handles, why it is needed, where it is stored, and with whom it is shared.
Data the Extension handles
- Roblox account identifiers and public account data, including usernames, display names, numeric user IDs, public profile details, friend/follower/following counts, avatars, outfits, badges, and presence information for accounts the user searches for or chooses to track.
- Roblox browsing context on
www.roblox.com, including the current Roblox page URL and relevant game, server, user, catalog, or group identifiers. - User-created Extension data, including settings, watched-account lists, activity timelines, notification choices and diagnostics, pinned servers, recent searches, outfit history, and avatar restore points.
- Signed-in Roblox requests. When a feature requires the user's existing Roblox session, the browser sends that session directly to Roblox over HTTPS. The Extension does not read, copy, or store passwords or authentication-cookie values.
The Extension does not collect health, financial, payment, personal communication, precise-location, advertising-profile, or creditworthiness data. It does not log keystrokes, mouse position, or general browsing outside Roblox.
How data is used
Data is used only for the Extension's disclosed features: server browsing and joining, avatar/outfit inspection and restoration, friend and account lookup, user-selected activity tracking, desktop notifications, and local history or settings recovery. Data is not used for advertising, behavioral profiling, generalized market research, lending, or creditworthiness decisions.
Storage and retention
Settings, histories, snapshots, watched-account information, and diagnostics are stored locally with chrome.storage.local. The developer does not operate a server that receives or stores this data. Local data remains until the user removes it, clears Extension storage, or uninstalls the Extension.
Data transmission and sharing
The Extension sends HTTPS requests directly from the user's browser only to Roblox pages, official Roblox API services, and Roblox's rbxcdn.com content-delivery hosts. The developer does not sell user data or transfer it to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or unrelated third parties. Data is shared with Roblox only as necessary for requested Roblox functionality and is subject to Roblox's privacy practices.
Permissions

Remote code
The Extension does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly. All executable code and viewer libraries are bundled. Roblox JSON, images, textures, and 3D model files are retrieved only as data and are not evaluated as code.
User controls
Users can disable background tracking, disable notifications separately for each watched account, remove watched accounts, delete saved entries, clear the Extension's local storage, or uninstall the Extension.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The Extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide or improve the Extension's single purpose, is not used for personalized advertising, is not sold, and is not used for lending or creditworthiness.
